Greetings. I hope you are having a great Spring.
We will not hold a General Member meeting in June. We will return to in-person meetings on July 12th at the War Memorial Building in Balboa Park. We hope to see you there, and please remember that to attend, you must show proof of COVID vaccination; masks are optional.
One of the Board’s goals for this year is to expand the benefits offered to members of REA to continue to add value to our existing and potential members. As you know, a number of years ago we partnered with MEA and the Retired Fire and Police Association (RFPA) to offer our members the many benefits of the San Diego Public Employee Benefit Association (SDPEBA). This program has been a big success. Effective June 1st we are excited to offer our members one new benefit with DayTripper Tours. Please read more about this new offer later in this newsletter.
REA is now gearing up for our Summer Food Drive. Our goal for this drive is to raise $5,000, which will provide more than 20,000 meals through the San Diego Food Bank. I hope you will join me in supporting this effort.
